~/etc/rules.conf read-only

[ THE RULES ]

Short list. Read it once.

  1. be kind. we're all just people typing at each other. no slurs, no harassment, no doxxing.
  2. no spam / no ads. self-promo lives in #offtopic — a link now and then is fine, a firehose is not.
  3. stay on-topic per channel. #dev for code, #music for music, #offtopic for chaos.
  4. no NSFW in public channels. keep it in DMs or clearly-marked +18 rooms.
  5. no bots without permission. testing bots? use #bots.
  6. use the /ignore command liberally. peace is a skill.
  7. ops have final say. appeal in #help if you think a kick was in error.

[ CONSEQUENCES ]

Warn → kick → temp-ban → k-line. That's the escalation. Repeat offenders get to enjoy the rest of the internet somewhere else.

[ PRIVACY ]

LucidChat does not log public channels server-side. Your client may log locally. Anything you post publicly is, of course, public — assume screenshots exist.
